The relationship between emotional well-being and effective learning have been explored, but what about the wider relationship between the mind and the body in effective learning?
Every time I facilitate a professional development program for educators I attempt to make a case for this inescapable (though ignorable) relationship between the mind and body. It doesn’t matter if the topic is differentiated instruction, multiple intelligences, brain-compatible methods, music in the classroom, or stress management. Everything we do as educators seeks to change the brain; it’s inescapable!
