Models of Leadership in Schools


Educational leadership 101 always concerns itself with the model of leadership which is being applied in a school context. Traditionally, models of educational leadership boil down to four essential models:

  • Servant
  • Transactional
  • Emotional
  • Transformational

In each model the power, relationships, motivators and penalties are different.
