The Learning Renaissance

Re-designing Your Curriculum For the 21st Century

I’m a great believer in the absolute need to re-design the curriculum away from a content based structure and towards a reflection of the society young people need to survive and thrive in during their lives.

My personal preference for a new curriculum model would be based on the ABC – A=Attitudes, B=Behaviours and C=Competences.

I like this model though and the idea of values providing the soil on which the curriculum grows. There is something to be said for making what is a revolutionary idea so organic and simple!

Thank you JD Stewart for this powerful insight.

About educationalist04

I'm convinced we can, as a species, do much better than this if we set our minds to being much more positive and productive towards our fellow humans. The solution is learning - creating independent and autonomous learners who can problem solve, innovate and create a better more equitable and sustainable world. My books, Future Proof Your School and Re-Examining Success together with this blog, explore how better learning outcomes for all can be achieved.
