I earnestly hope that this unprecedented interruption to education caused by the Coronavirus will give teachers space for some creative thinking and that teachers will return to school ready to tackle change management radically.
That will mean abandoning practices which are backwards-looking or do not promote effective learning. It will also mean new learning paradigms and ways of working collaboratively amongst your staff teams.
For once my timing might be spot on, and the case studies, change templates and triangulation points in my books might provide a useful primer for sustainable school improvement which makes the most of the expertise lying dormant in your staff.
The first book, Future Proof Your School explores cultural development and school improvement strategies, the second complementary book – Re-Examining Success – focusses on the purpose and process of the learning experience for students, staff and parents.
