LIVE Webinar: Space Talking with An Astronaut
Astronaut & Brain Surgeon Dafydd Rhys (Dave) Williams
My Brain in Space
This Thursday 30th April at 7pm BST, astronaut, neurological and cardiac surgeon and telemedicine pioneer, Dave Williams will take us through his experiences and to the amazing changes he found with “My Brain in Space”.
In his first space mission, sur he was in charge of Neurolab, which studied the effects of microgravity on the brain and the nervous system.
In his second space flight, he carried out three spacewalks focussing on installing components of the International Space Station. He has travelled almost 19 million kilometres in space and spent over 18 hours outside the spacecraft in the deadly environment of space.
Dave has been NASA’s Director of the Space and Life Sciences and Deputy Administrator for Crew Health and Safety at NASA Headquarters.
He is currently CEO of a biomedical company developing remote medical procedures to benefit remote communities and international crews on deep space missions.
Every Thursday an astronaut will give a LIVE presentation and Q&A. The programme is designed for adults and families and is for a limited sized audience.

Thank you for this important reminder for tomorrow’s session with Astronaut Dave Williams on “My Brain in Space”. I posted several items to help students learn more about astronomy, including some NASA learning materials on this page:

No problem Scott. Those are impressive materials.
