I’ve always had some issues with the term ‘Growth Mindset’.
Where it refers to a positive outlook and attitude which looks for solutions and collaborations rather than problems and division, then I’m all for it.
Unfortunately, I’ve known some use it as a libertarian, Neuro-Linguistic Programming sense of promoting your self-interest viciously and at the expense of others. I came across one person who understood it to mean, after having attended an NLP programme, as ‘you have a duty to help me to fulfil my dreams’ with no sense of mutual obligation.
Anyway, with those reservations, I am happy to share this infographic, in the hope that it forms part of the picture of what you would want your pupils to become and achieve in terms of attitudes, values and behaviours.
