LIVE Webinar: Space Talking with An Astronaut
With Space Station Commander Steve Swanson
Today at 7pm BST/2pm EDT
Every Thursday an astronaut will give a LIVE presentation and Q&A. The programme is designed for adults and families and is for a limited sized audience.
The programme continues with Space Shuttle astronaut and International Space Station Commander Steve Swanson showing how in the isolation and confines of orbit astronauts use imagination to have “Fun on the International Space Station”.
There will be a presentation, including movies followed by 45 minutes question and answer. Anyone who ever wanted to ask an astronaut a question will get their chance on Tuesdays.
The webinars will inspire people to make the most of the opportunities of being at home. Steve says “Just like many people on Earth right now, astronauts live in self-isolation on the International Space Station. Tune in to learn how I fitted a busy schedule of tasks and had some fun space. Please ask me your favourite space question.”

I’ve had the pleasure of Steve’s company at the Johnson Space Center in Houston where he took us on a Level 9 Tour of the facility and joined us in the evening for dinner. A really interesting guy to listen to!
